Hawk is a beautifully put together 7 year old gelding who is registered with both the American Brabant Association and Belgian Draft Corporation of America. Hawk stands 15.3hh and has a beautiful liver chestnut color with silver mane and tail, he has clean legs and nice hooves. He is kid tested and mother approved with his great demeanor he could easily fall into a lesson program, therapy program or be a show horse. He stands great for the vet and farrier and will stand in cross ties all day for a bath and pampering. Hawk is both broke to ride and drive and is solid in under saddle being ridden English or western. This gelding rides off like a broke quarter horse all day long, he is soft in his chin and has a nice stop and back up, his leg yields and side passes both directions and easily steps off into both leads. Hawk has been trail rode all over the east coast and handled the horse obstacle park like a champ crossing water, going into ponds, climbing stairs, going over moving and rolling bridges as well as through the cowboy curtain up the cake box and Texas two step, over logs/rocks and beams of various shapes and heights. Hawk is sure footed and balanced in rough terrain and will trail blaze all day long, he can be ridden easily out alone or in a group, he’s a gentleman around other horses and riders. Hawk is easy to trailer load and hauls quiet, he unloads at new places like he’s been there his whole life and doesn’t require lunging or being ridden down. Hawk is gentle and quiet minded in all aspects of life and has handled everything we threw at him; literally. Hawk has had a stock whip cracked off his, bounced a ball around him, at him and under him, took kids for sled rides around the arena, carried a flag and has been started over fences. He is brave and incredibly smooth and will jump logs, jump with fill and cross rails. Hawk is quiet to hitch and drives excellently out in the field or down the road alongside traffic. This is one horse you will have a hard time finding another like any day, he checks all the boxes is a blast to ride and so safe for the whole family to enjoy!
