Checkers is easy to catch and easy to ride, he’s traveled all over the US from Texas, Kentucky, Indiana to Checkers. He loads and unloads nicely. Checkers stands quietly for the farrier , to be bathed and to be saddled. Too tall for you? Don’t worry! Checkers also lays down on a tap cue to accommodate all riders! He is easy to catch out of the pasture, gets along well with any of his pasture mates and prefers being pastured vs anxiously waiting around in a stall. Checkers has worked cattle and ridden up and down steep terrain in the mountains. He has a great stop and a solid walk trot extended trot and canter. Checkers neck reins easily making navigating tough trails easy.
