Griffin

Griffin is a VERY stout built Grey Tobiano Draftcross Gelding, standing 16-16.1hh, with a thick bone and big stout hooves. He is coming 6 years old and when I say you’ll never find another like him… just watch his video!!! Griffin has been with us all year long and has completed our natural horsemanship program… not only has be completed it but he has mastered it! He will bow down, he is very good at laying down and enjoys it. Griffin will lope nice circles, take the correct leads, slide stop and spin a circle both ways ALL WHILE BEING RIDDEN BRIDLELESS!!! You’re reading that correct, Bridleless… no bridle, no neck rope… NOTHING just by operating off of leg pressure and foot cues. As seen in the video Griffin will go from a lope to slide stop while the riders arms are folded, he will lock it down and slide stop with a simple cue! Griffin is the ultimate horse in the natural horsemanship world! From loping nice circles, taking his leads, slide stopping and backing, he also knows all basic reining maneuvers and does them slow and correctly. Griffin has a very soft and easy lope! He is a confident horse that is not spooky around anything or any situation. He has been camping in several states. He has been used in all aspects of ranching from roping and dragging cows, to sorting and loading… We have had him roping the hot-heels as well, on the head side and he tracks that very well. Not only will he ride western he will also go english and has been started on jumps. Griffin loves attention in any form that he can get it whether that be brushing or bathing and has a ton of personality! He has been ridden around farm equipment, ATV’s, over large noisy tarps and has also had guns shot off of his back. No matter where he goes or what he does, he has not been spooky acting. He has been exposed to all kinds of wildlife such as deer or turkey or other animals like cows or dogs and will go anywhere that he is asked too. He has been rode many miles in the mountains of Kentucky and encountered every obstacle possible on the trail. He will go up or down even the steepest slopes, across deep creeks, over downed trees, and over all types of rough terrain while still being sure footed. We have had Griffin riding through town, in the city park around the kids play area, though the Taco Bell drive thru, around the local truckstop, in the lake and down sidewalks as well. Griffin is a one of a kind that I’m sure anyone will love!
